In April 2025, the MOJ will increase the Court and Tribunal fees (subject to Parliamentary approval) to account for changes to the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The income generated from these uplifts will help support the efficient and effective running of the HMCTS.

There is a total of 171 fees to be increased by 3.2%. The fees specifically related to Court of Protection Practitioners are as follows:

Civil Proceedings Fees Order 2008 – in relation to the filing and appeals to bills of costs

The old fees will still apply until the end of March, with new fees applying from 1 April 2025. We will post further information following the Parliamentary approval and to confirm the date in which these fees go live.
